Hi! I'm Filofteia Grosu and this is the story that made Herbaris happen.

I have been fascinated by the pleasant smells that emanate from nature for as long as I can remember, being born in a privileged hilltop area (the village of Bătrâni, near Vălenii de Munte), watched over as if by a search, sometimes gentler, sometimes fiercer, of the two blessed mountain ranges: Ciucaș, to the right, and Siriu, to the left.

I lived, since I was a little child, among the strong scents of juicy fruits, in the middle of flowers, trees and strongly fragrant plants. All around, the hills were like a huge garden, full of a rushing and amazing vegetation. And now I get shivers when I encounter the scent of freshly cut grass!

I was influenced, without them knowing it, by three people from the village: Mr. Geantă, Dr. Alin Scarlat and, last but not least, my mother. Mr. Geantă was a famous seeker of medicinal herbs, to whom people from all over the country used to come, in the past, for his teas and for the renowned hay pollen. Dr. Alin Scarlat, whom I admired for the tenacity with which he educated his patients to restore their bodies, relied largely on natural remedies. Among other things, he also wrote a two-volume work: The Foundations of Phytotherapy.

I remember my mother boiling ashes in a cotton sock on the stovetop in a cauldron until it turned red; then she would "bend" it with water and wash us from head to toe.

After my husband, Romeo, and I decided to bring Herbaris into the lives of other families who share the same values, but for whom the market did not offer truly clean alternatives, our children grew up with the brand.

My eldest son, Alex, showed a sincere interest in what we were doing since he was a teenager. He was curious, attentive to details and always eager to learn. When he grew up and began to get seriously involved in our work, Herbaris began to flourish in turn. The work had become a family passion, a bridge between generations, and each product carried a little of our soul in it.

We are united by this passion even today, perhaps more than ever. After Alex's death, far too early, my youngest daughter, Cristiana, returned home to continue his dream. She felt that Herbaris was not just a business, but a living legacy, a way to carry on his love for nature and for people.

One of his latest achievements was the PET line, created in honor of our dog Billy. Through it, Alex wanted to carry forward the care and gentleness that inspired us from the beginning: respect for life, in all its forms.

Herbaris has thus become more than a brand. It is the story of a family that believes in the power of nature, love and continuity.
